Portland-based singer-songwriter Chris Pureka brought their brand of deeply felt folk-americana to an intimate house show in Deepwell Estates, five minutes from downtown Palm Springs — and it was exactly the kind of night RBMC exists to make happen.
Pureka's music resists easy categorization: it's been called folk, americana, and indie rock, but what it really is, is honest. Over a 20-year independent career, they've built a devoted following through sheer emotional precision — as a vocalist, as a lyricist, and as a performer who makes a room go completely still.
